Before you let your biased dislike of Justin Bieber cause you to wonder why we’d do a post on his music, read the title. Diplo has once again shown that his hit-making capabilities knows no bounds. Whether he’s putting MIA on the map in 2008, giving Usher a Grammy or taking Major Lazer to new heights, Diplo has cemented his place as one of today’s super-producers, and by producing the latest Justin Bieber single, he’s pretty set for life. Financially anyway.
For whatever reason one may find to hate on the teenager, you can hardly fault the production on what may be the only Bieber single to attract grudging praise from even the most dedicated haters. Diplo’s instrumentation on this one provides Bieber with a much needed soulful/RnB platform, which should help him launch a brand outside of the poppy cliches that he’s occupied for the last 4 years.
Let’s just forget that people think the logo for the track resembles OWSLA’s, and talk about the music instead.
